In an article written by Travis Snell from the Cherokee Nation website,
the Cherokee Nation has formed a special task force to “monitor” the
activities of us, their brothers and sisters who decided not to walk.  As
always, doubting the legitimacy of our group, they now seem to think the
federal government has trouble doing its own job.  It is highly ironic that
when we began this quest, our kin in Oklahoma supported us, ate with us,
received and gave gifts with us, but yet as we get closer to being
recognized they now say that we are “fake”.  Ah, how times have changed.
