Joe Lynn Casey was born to Lloyd Virgil and Ruby Hellen (Busby) Casey on
August 1, 1936 in Claremore, Oklahoma. He passed from this life August 17,
2007 at his home in Cloudy, OK at the age of 71.
Joe married Patricia Faye (Spurgin) August 8, 1968 in Reno, Nevada. He was
honorably discharged from the United States Air Force and was retired from
working construction for the 627 Union in Tulsa, OK. Joe enjoyed drinking
coffee and visiting with his friends, traveling, and hunting and fishing.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents: Lloyd and Ruby Casey; a son: Gary
McWhirter; and a brother: James Otis Casey.
He is survived by his wife Patricia Casey of the home; six children: Jesse Casey
of Little Rock, Arkansas, Janet Erwin Cole of Antlers, OK, Kim Dunlap of
Cloudy, OK, Shanon King of Marble Falls, Texas, Janelle Norman of
Anchorage, Alaska, and Shirley Amaritti of Florida; four sisters: Nicki Casey
Smith and Jan Meadows of Oklahoma City, Linda Shrank of South Dakota and
Sheryl Hamilton of Arkansas. Fourteen grandchildren: Patti Hokett, Tasha
Dunlap, Jason McWhirter, Adam Blankenship, Sabrina Blankenship, Quigliey
King, Ezzra King, James Lloyd Casey, Wesley Dale Casey, Joseph Conal
Casey, Arianne Yvonne Casey, Melanie Noelle Casey, Delilah Norman, and
Ross Norman; and three great-grandchildren: Kodi Hokett, Vanessa Domingos
and Albert Domingos; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held on the evening of August 18, 2007 at the Casey
Family Cemetery in Cloudy, Oklahoma with interment following.
