Make sure and try to attend any meetings or
ceremonies in your area. Find out when and where
on our ceremonies page from our link to the left.
It is also very important to check the lists we have
posted of bad addresses, no addresses and
incomplete files to make sure that your file is ready
when we send in for our next technical assistance
review with the BIA in the Spring.
In December 2009, we had our BIA consultant
come down for a review of our progress. He said
everything looked very well, and informed us of our
need to get everyone to sign our validation forms
that have to be sent in with our submission.
Remember, if you do not sign this form, your name
cannot be submitted to the BIA.
We are still progressing every day towards federal
recognition. We are certifying files and mailing out
census and membership cards every day. Also, the
BIA requires an electronic family tree, so with the
most up-to-date software, we have thousands of
files entered and are working to enter everyone's
files.
We are still feeding several families in conjunction
with a local church.
As always it is an honor to serve our people.
